A Cloudy Day Turns Bright

On a cloudy afternoon after Preschool classes were finished, our HOPE team decided to visit the farm and minister in the nearby village of Sto. Nino.  That is where we were approved to connect to their water supply and is also one of the locations where our Prenatal Program is located.

The local school administrator welcomed us and offered the elementary school grounds as our venue for the outreach.

After only a few minutes of games and action songs 106 kids ages 2-15 years and over 30 adults had gathered!

Groups were assigned and lead by our Hope team.  We taught the children Hope for Kids songs that we learned during out training and outreach in Cebu.  We played games with them; spent time getting to know them, cleaned wounds and prayed for them. Before leaving we gave out snacks, shoes, clothing and vitamins to those in need.

After sharing God’s Work and His plan of salvation, we asked them to consider what that meant for them personally.  Praise God because a total of 87 kids accepted Jesus Christ!!  The light of God shone bright in the midst of a gloomy and cloudy day.

It had been a long day already but our tired staff had joy and renewed energy after this outreach! Nothing satisfies more than honouring God by loving others!!

We thank God for such a wonderful experience. We will visit Sto. Nino monthly.  Harvest from the farm will be used for regular feeding programs there. Pray with us that the seeds of God’s Word will also bring about a harvest of souls.
