  • God Answers Our Prayers

    Jenn & I first met Todd & Ruth through our involvement at YWAM (Youth with a Mission) based in Maui, where they are presently serving as leaders.

    When still single, Ruth came to Hope for the Island during the outreach part of her discipleship training school. Her team won over the hearts of the youth and staff!! We knew the relationships formed would be lasting. Even after moving back home to Scotland, Ruth remained a faithful prayer partner and would ship us boxes of donated supplies to bless the ministries. (more…)

  • Water For The Farm

    It has been a very challenging time for our farm team. It has been almost a three month battle in search for water. This has truly been a test of faith. Do we keep planting when we don’t have water? Will it keep on raining? The workers at the farm have been transporting water three times a day by motorcycle and then carrying it by hand to existing beds to keep them alive.   • A New Batch Of Students

    This year a new Department of Education requirement was that we hand over our Kinder 2 class to them.  This was not easy for us or for the families of the children wanting to continue at Hope for the Island Preschool.

  • Books For All

    When my children were very young I started reading to them. I was determined to do everything to make them book lovers. Knowing how to read well with understanding is a skill that carries you through every area of life.

    Hope for the Island Library started because we wanted every child in our municipality to have good books available to them. Over the years we have had numerous books donated and shipped to us. (more…)
