  • Prenatal Program

We have officially launched the Prenatal and Maternal Health Program.  Hope for the Island is honored to be a part of protecting the most valuable asset of Siargao’s future; the generations of children to be born in the years to come.  The future of this Island will be in the hands of those children developing in their mother’s womb.  This is a program that we have done in the past as funds were available and when vitamins were donated.  In our updates we have shared about mothers and babies who are healthy and alert with resistance to fight off disease as a result of the vitamins provided.  This healthy start gives children what they need to develop properly in their early childhood years.  Unfortunately, most pregnant mothers here struggle with health issues brought on by poor nutrition and vitamin deficiency.  The result is birthing complications and babies born with defects that battle disease as soon as they enter the world.
